We all know the struggle is real when it comes to finding swimwear that’s chic and well made, but things can get even more challenging when you’re on the hunt for a swimsuit that’s Made in Canada too. Thankfully, the amount of chic Canadian swim suit brands is growing and we’ve put together a list to highlight some of our favourite established and emerging Canadian swimwear labels that hail all the way from Vancouver to Halifax!

Giving us sustainable women’s swimwear is Saltwater Collective and knowing that they design with real female figures in mind makes us heart them even more. We adore that all their pieces are manufactured in TO by local seamstresses, you can’t get much more local than that!
We’ve been huge fans of Vancouver-based swimwear designer, Beth Richards, for years now with her sexy, stylish and super fierce designs. All pieces are made in Canada (love!) and they’re also known for producing with little waste and even having some garments that use recycled materials and dyes–eco-fashion FTW!
Looking for some HOT swimwear? Reese has it all and we can’t get enough of these badass silhouettes from this Toronto-based brand. With loads of straps, sexy cutouts and barely there designs, any of their designs are perf to wear at the pool lounge this summer!

Embracing sunshine is June Swimwear and they strive to create the perfect bikini for beach babes who long to have salt in our hair all summer long. Offering classic designs in fun patterns and colours means there is literally something for everyone and who doesn’t love that?
Looking to take your love of chicken ‘n waffles public? Enter Bathing Belle! This TO-based company makes all of their bathing suits right here in YYZ and feature some pretty wild and fun prints like pretzels, beer and cupcakes! We love that they also design for men and kids, so you can even get matching print bathers for the whole family.
Crafting handmade, eco friendly swimwear is no easy feat but the folks at Minnow Bathers make it look like a snap. We love that they’re dedicated to celebrating the female form (YASS!) through super chic and highly functional pieces that also feel amazing! Bonus points for donating $1 from each sale to the Ocean Conservancy that creates science-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.

Nova Scotia-based brand, Girl On The Moon is stunning us all with their handmade crochet swimwear that’s not only so cute but also ethically-conscious AND vegan. Plus, we love that every piece is handmade to order too!
