6 of My Favourite Natural Hair Products for Treatment and Tinting

By Gracie Carroll

Nothing makes me feel better than when my hair looks and feels amazing (hello, why do you think I’m such a big fan of the blow dry club at Tony Shamas!?) but that doesn’t mean I’m willing to sacrifice the quality of products that I use just to get the look I want. Using natural beauty and hair care products is something that’s very important to me, and it makes me even happier when they’re made in Canada too! My latest vlog shares six of my favourite natural hair products for treatment and tinting – and why I love them. Watch now or check out the full list below!

1. My Mane Care Hair Mask

My Mane Care is a an amazing hair mask from Montreal that I discovered when we decided to start carrying the new (at the time) brand on The Chic Canuck. I quickly fell in love with how incredible the product smells (like toasted coconut!), how easy it was to apply to my hair, and the amazing results that I would get after letting my hair soak in all of the super moisturizing ingredients like coconut oil and avocado oil. 2. Kiehl’s Amino Acid Shampoo

As mentioned in my vlog, I discovered the Amino Acid Shampoo and Conditioner by Kiehl’s when I started working out at Equinox. I feel incredibly #blessed to get to go to a gym that stocks their epic change room with Kiehl’s products for all members to use, and I was blown away by how amazing my hair looked after a quick wash and air dry at the gym when I used this silicone-free and Paraben-free product that’s made with coconut oil. 3. Soothsayer Rapunzel Serum

Soothsayer is a brand from Toronto that I discovered when we featured their products in the Localist section of FLARE and on BT. I was lucky enough to get to try them out myself, and I quickly became obsessed with their Rapunzel Serum that’s made with Horsetail. Since I naturally have dry and wavy hair, I’m constantly looking a natural product that can help moisturize and style my hair after it’s washed, and the Rapunzel Serum is the first I’ve found that doesn’t leave my hair looking wet and greasy. 4. Kevin Murphy Easy Rider

I first discovered Easy Rider by Kevin Murphy while I was working at Elle UK, and managed to score the product at one of the magazine’s epic beauty sales. As it states right on the box, this product is an anti-frizz creme with flexible hold that I love using to time flyaways and baby hairs when I wear my hair up in a top knot – which is quite often! If you are new to products by Kevin Murphy I highly recommend trying them asap – they smell amazing and are all Paraben free. To shop this product click HERE.

5. BeautyLash Tinting Kit

The BeautyLash tinting kit is a recent discovery that I was interested in trying to see if it really works. I love that this product is plant based for gentle tinting, and totally safe to use on your own at home. Although the black tinting did work on me, it wasn’t super noticeable since I naturally have dark lashes. However, I wanted to include this product because I think its a fantastic product option for tinting your lashes (and brows!) if you have lighter hair and are looking to achieve a darker look in a subtle way. BeautyLash can be purchased at TradeSecrets.ca and BeautyRoundTheClock.com!

6. Da lish Cosmetics Mascara

I’ve been a huge fan of Toronto-based natural cosmetics brand, Da lish, for many years now and if you haven’t tried any of the products yet, it’s definitely time you do! Since I have sensitive eyes and I love mascara, I’m always grateful for how fantastic this mascara is to use. After all, it’s not easy to find a quality mascara that’s natural and works well.
