Love food as much as we do here at Edit Seven? Got the hots for Toronto’s rockstar chefs? In the city this weekend? Well, then you definitely don’t want to miss Tastemaker Toronto 2019 that’s taking place from May 10-12th at Evergreen Brick Works. The kickoff event for the North American tour, Tastemaker Toronto describes itself as a culinary house party for the foodie, experience seeker and everyone in between.
Keep reading for 7 reasons why you don’t want to miss Tastemaker Toronto (seriously, grab your tickets NOW) including how you can enter to WIN our giveaway for 2 tickets to attend!
It’s a Foodie’s Paradise (And All Included)
Tastemaker Toronto clearly understands its clientele, and knows that no one wants to be subjected to drink tickets or limited snacks. Thankfully, their very reasonably priced tickets (which range from $48.75 to $65 depending on when you want to attend) will cover all of the food and drink you can consume during the duration of the session of your choosing.
Toronto’s Best Chefs Will All Be There
If you are as interested in food as much as the creatives behind each dish, then you’ll be thrilled to know that an impressive line-up of Toronto’s top chefs will all be in attendance at Tastemaker Toronto. Who can you expect to see there? Collaborating chefs at this year’s Tastemaker Kitchen include Brandon Olsen (La Banane) & Patrick Kriss (Alo), Paula Navarrete (Momofuku Kojin) & Anna Chen (Alma), Rob Rossi (Guilietta) & Carl Heinrich (Richmond Station), Nick Liu (Dailo) & Daniel Cancino (Mineral), Michael Hunter (Antler) & Rob Braganolo (Labora), Claudio Aprile (Copetin) & Afrim Pristine (Cheese Boutique), Matt Demille (EAT w/ Matt) & Albert Ponzo (The Royal Hotel), Dustin Gallagher (416 Snack Bar) & Ryan Campbell (Il Covo), Alexandra Feswick (Drake Devonshire) & Charlotte Langley (Scouts Canning), Elia Herrera (Los Colibris) & Alida Solomon (Tutti Matti).
You Can Take Your Senses On An Experience
This year, you’ll be able to take your senses on an experiential journey when you venture through the Tastemaker’s pop-up home where you’ll be able to build your own extravagant Caesar in the Walter’s Caesar lounge or create your perfect cheese board with help from the Dairy Farmer’s of Ontario. Step outside to chill in Scout Canning’s backyard oyster and whisky bar, and then learn the secrets of a range of artisan producers at Acura’s Craft Precision Workshop garage.
Local Mixologists Will Be Serving Up Dranks
Crafting the perfect cocktail is a true art form and local mixologists will be taking over The Tastemaker bar to shake up and serve delectable cocktail creations all day, and all night. The party’s bar is also known as the ‘cocktail cabinet’ that’s literally an old fashioned cabinet with a cut out where bartenders will serve you through the furniture’s open window.
Sip On Some of The Best Alcohol Brands
A little picky about the alcohol brands you like to drink? Don’t worry, you’ll be able to sip on some of the best thanks to Tastemaker Toronto’s alcohol partners that include Don Julio tequila, Sipsmith gin, Lost Craft brewing, Strongbow beer, and Arterra Wines.
The City’s Best Restaurants Will Be There Too
Beyond the rockstar line-up of Toronto chefs who will be taking over the Tastemaker Kitchen, you can expect to find over 30 restaurants and producers such as Montecito, Noce, Marbl, Ascari, Adelina and Azyun in attendance as well.
You Can Win Tickets To Attend
Although we do encourage you to grab your tickets before it’s too late, we are thrilled to share that we have teamed up with Tastemaker Toronto to offer you the chance to WIN a pair of tickets to attend the Friday or Sunday day sessions (your choice!) worth up to $150. All you have to do to enter is make sure you’re following @EditSeven and @Tastemaker on Instagram and sign up for the #E7Newsletter HERE. Winner will be selected and contacted this Thursday.
Good Luck & See You There!
