Our fool’s fall is now over and the real fall weather has officially taken over. Cue the windy, rainy, and super chilly days that prequel the snow and ice. Yes, it’s all downhill from here (especially if you’re a skier). Okay, winter jokes aside, how are we supposed to stay motivated to get outside and work out if we don’t even want to get out of bed? The answer, my friends, is activewear that will put a spring in your step even when it’s cold. Not in the mood to spend big? No worries, because great activewear pieces don’t have to put a dent in your wallet either. The key to staying warm outdoors while working out is to intuitively layer up, and who says you can’t look cute while doing it?

Knix HiTouch High Rise Legging
If you became a biker short babe this past summer, it’s sadly time to pack them away or save them for indoor workouts. In the spirit of not wanting to freeze these cold seasons, get into these brand new Knix activewear leggings that not only highlight all your curves and swerves but keep you feeling secure and fresh throughout your workout. So often leggings are tight without having any benefit, but these babies are made with smart compression technology that provides targeted support for your legs, glutes, and thighs. The best part is that they’re available in sizes XS to XXXXL, so everyone can feel their best. Plus, they won’t pill either!
Alo Ribbed Peak Long Sleeve
Long sleeve season is here, but there’s no reason why your long sleeve situation can’t be stylish, right? This one from Alo has a fun cutout detail that, yes, might not be the warmest, but the lightweight material makes it perfect for layering. While black is always my go-to for my activewear collection, the dark olive hue is catching my eye!
Moose Knuckles St Urcissee Bomber
If you’re heading out on an early morning run or power walk, you’ll want to reach for a cozy jacket that won’t impede your movement. Instead of that basic bomber you’ve had for ages, try one with colour, like this one from Moose Knuckles. The trendy sherpa is so hot right now, and the varsity details take it over the edge.
Tory Sport Reversible Nylon Fleece Pullover
Feeling chilly? Throw on this fleece pullover from Tory Sport. Of course, there are loads of other fleece jumpers to choose from, but this baby is reversible. While so many activewear pieces are black or in neutral tones, the bright hues of this pullover keep things exciting and will (hopefully!) get you motivated to get your steps in even when it’s cold.
Burton Baker Hi-Loft Pant
When it’s really cold out, regular leggings just won’t cut it. These Burton Hi-Loft Pants are made of Polartec® High Loft™ fleece that’s ultra-soft and helps you stay warm but stays lightweight and breathable at the same time. If that’s not enough, these leggings are super stretchy, too, so no matter what your plans are, they’ll be perfect!
Lululemon Evergreen Track Pant
A little rain never hurt but it’s a drag, isn’t it? These track pants from Lululemon are water-resistant and great to wear on top of your leggings for added warmth and to stop them from getting soaked through.
Lesley Hampton LH Stripe Hoodie
Even if you’re not heading out for a workout, there’s nothing better than cozying up in a great sweatshirt. This hoodie from Indigenous designer Lesley Hampton is a fab option. Not only is it super soft but its relaxed fit is so comfortable. Wear it during your sweat sesh if you want to amp up the heat for that extra oomph!
