The iconic and historic brand Filson has finally planted some Canadian roots on Queen West near Bathurst and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Although Filson makes menswear and womenswear, they’re really well known for their amazing bags and luggage. They’re very durable and definitely a great investment piece if you’re going back to school or just for a great bag for travelling. Filson has proved that their philosophy of providing customers with comfort, protection and durability will never go out of style.
Toronto based HANDFUEL is focused on providing healthy and flavourful products to Canadians. Their hand crafted trail-mix like snacks are seriously addictive and with ingredients sourced from around the world, you know you’re getting the real deal! We love that the toasted almonds are actually based on a recipe created by the founder’s aunt so it has a nice family tie to it. HANDFUEL can be found at Pusateri’s and other high end grocery stores and they retail about $10/bag.
IRIS Denim is from Toronto and all of their jeans are made in Canada which is great because it’s not that easy to find real Canadian jeans! All styles are high-waisted with a bit of stretch so they’re flattering and comfortable and quality made in a variety of styles + colour. We love the wider seventies leg, as well as the cropped flares but of course the classic skinny is great for fall/winter when you’ve gotta wear boots again. You can shop IRIS Denim at Toronto boutiques such as Future of Frances Watson in Parkdale, Victoire on Ossingotn and Coal Miner’s Daughter on Queen West and each pair retails for between $185 to $210.
