This month, Equinox is celebrating being #PoweredByPride with their new short film titled LGBTQAlphabet; with their take on the acronym, Equinox is reaffirming their their commitment to the LGBTQA community and we love it!
This short film expands the definition of “LGBTQA” into a full alphabet with 26 distinct opportunities to communicate who you are and how you love – loud ‘n’ proud, y’all!
The 5-minute video shows dancers acting out terms like “drag,” “femme,” “kink,” “masc” and “vogue” in a colourful and exciting way!

A continuation of Equinox’s “Commit to Something” narrative, the film further explores the theme of identity addressed in their 2017 advertising campaign and reflects the LGBTQA community’s incredible diversity Equinox believes that “what you commit to is who you are,” says Elizabeth Nolan, Executive Creative Director at Equinox.
Equinox has always participated in Pride initiatives but this is Equinox’s first high-profile campaign that includes includes members of the community.
In addition to events in cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Toronto, there is an exclusive special Pride edition of the fitness club’s popular Hip-Hop Yoga class.
