Gracie Carroll, Editor-In-Chief

As soon as the month of February rolls around there’s only one thing I can think about: LOOOVE…my love for chocolate that is! But I’m not the kinda gal who’ll accept any ol’ grocery store aisle chocolate, especially if it comes in a heart-shaped box. No, I want that real real goodness that makes your body quiver with every delectable bite. I am always quickly and easily won over by anything from CXBO Chocolates (I mean, obviously, it’s THE BEST) and they’ve taken things to another level this year with their collaboration with Canadian whisky brand Lot 40. I could not wait until February 14th to enjoy their limited edition Fireside Collection of Canada whiskey-blended chocolates and so I can confirm that they are worth each and every bite. Buy these for your lover, your friend, or just you (which is what I would do).” – @GracieCarroll

summer fridays r+r mask edit seven editors picks

“One of the things I take very seriously in life is skincare and there’s one brand in particular that I just can’t get enough of and it’s Summer Fridays. Founded by mega successful influencer Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores, it’s a brand that became popular with just one product: face masks. Their first baby was Jet Lag Mask (a truly amazing hydrating leave on mask), followed by Overtime Mask (a pumpkin scented exfoliating mask) and now their third is R+R Mask. This latest addition not only exfoliates and brightens the skin but goes an extra step further by infusing skin with a blend of oils for even more moisture and a plumped up look. Basically it’s everything you love from face masks and serums all wrapped up into one stunning package!” – @BlairAlex

edit seven editors picks the water cure

“February in Canada is for hibernation: mugs of hot apple cider (with or without the bourbon), cozy sweaters, and a book you just canNOT put down. Sophie Mackintosh’s The Water Cure is 100% that book. It’s been described as The Virgin Suicides meets The Handmaid’s Tale and was long-listed for the Man Booker Prize. Margaret Atwood herself is a fan and only a half-dozen pages in, I could see why: as a reader, you’re instantly invested in the world of Grace, Lia, and Sky, three sisters who’ve spent their lives on an uninhabited island with only their parents for company. To them, the outside world and the men who live there mean death and destruction. Why? That isn’t so clear. Raised under the spell cast by their cult leader-esque father, everything they know is called into question when he disappears and three strangers arrive. Get ready to have this book glued to your hands until the very last page.” – @CorrinaAllen

I hate to share this secret, but the newly opened Donna’s in Toronto’s west end is good. Like, really really good. Located on a sleepy stretch of Lansdowne, right by Wallace Avenue – the restaurant itself isn’t huge, but it’s got an open-concept kitchen and a bunch of cozy tables painted brightly. It has comfort classics and some unexpected surprises, like their leafy salad. Co-owners and Momofuku alum Ann Kim, Jed Smith, and Peter Jensen have created a restaurant and menu that is flavourful and well thought-out. Don’t delay, get to Donna’s today!” – @AmaScriver

Nothing gets me to the gym like a cute workout outfit does. I am LOVING the new Reebok x Victoria Beckham collab right now. It’s so chic and the colour combinations are everything – I mean, anything VB touches is gonna be MAJOR, right? Her long sleeved cropped top and seamless tights are my top picks from her sporty new collection.” – @CaitlinMelvin

I am beyond obsessed with the Make Up For Ever HD line. The foundation is my holy grail foundation and they have just relaunched their Ultra HD Concealer. The combination of a light weight formula with full coverage is beyond perfect for me. Plus its long lasting and looks perfect on camera!” – @CoryLeeMusic

I own more than a few pieces from Realisation Par, but only because they keep making sleek sexy pieces that I can wear to the office and when I’m off the clock. Their silk Iggy Dress is a classic vintage-inspired print and is the next addition that I need in my closet! I’ll be fantasizing about spring and summer as we ride out this awful weather until it arrives.” – @BryannaCollier
