I’ve Found Love: In A Pair Of Cute Rain Boots I Can Style With Everything

Having an unhealthy relationship with shoes is something that most women can relate to, but it rarely has to do with not finding a pair that you’d love to slip into to add some literal pep to your step. Our love for shoes is strong and unwavering, but can tend to crash and burn when it comes to finding two specific pairs of shoes: Winter Boots and Rain Boots.

While something strong and sturdy might be what you look for you in your love life, the same qualities in a shoe rarely results in a love-at-first sight connection that sends sparks flying and butterflies a fluttering. But just like when hunting for the same attraction in another human being, finding the perfect (weather appropriate) pair of boots can take time and patience until you finally lay your eyes on “the one”.

This, my friends, has finally happened to me and I’m thrilled to share that I’ve found love in a pair of cute rain boots that I can style with everything.

Now, I may not look like Kate Moss at Glastonbury (sadly no pair of rain boots will ever bless me with the legs of a supermodel), but I’ve tried knee-high rain boots before and the truth is they’re a styling nightmare when you need to pair them with anything more than itty bitty daisy dukes. Ya feel me?

Even short rubber wellies can be a major Debbie Downer when it comes to getting dressed because most are, well, just not that cute. So often I’ve asked myself why it’s so hard to find great rain boots that don’t make me look like I work on a farm or as though I’m a 30-year-old woman who has decided to shop in the children’s department.

All I’ve ever wanted in a great rain boot is something short, chic, actually waterproof (obviously), and easy to style with everything whether I’m headed to a meeting or dinner date. Now my prayers have finally been answered thanks to Cougar Boots (extra snaps because they’re Canadian!) and their Kensington Chelsea Boot.

Not only does the Kensington Chelsea Boot tick off every quality I look for, but it takes things to another level by being super light, comfortable and hardly looking like a rain boot at all. I mean, if you saw me walking around in these babies wouldn’t you just think I had a great pair of black patent boots on? In fact, with the subtle crystal welt treatment on these Kerry Chelsea Boots (pictured above) I would not put it past me to wear these with a floor-length cocktail dress when I’m not in the mood for heels.

Another rain-proof pair of shoes that has captured my heart this season is the Rainy Day Slip-On Shoe that are brand new to the Cougar Boots collection. If you, like me, just love a good easy slip on (especially one that’s simple and chic) then you’ll easily fall head over heels for this great spring weather-friendly shoe. Trust me, no one in the office will be looking down at your feet wondering why you’ve got your wellies on at work when you’ve got these on. In fact, you’re far more likely to get asked where you got them (and if you don’t mind if your colleague gets them too) once they find out they’re actual waterproof.

If you too have been in search of love in the form of a perfect rain boot, I urge you to look no further than the Cougar Boots website and put in an order for your own pair a-freaking-sap.
