My Korean BBQ Burger Recipe with Bulgogi Sauce on ACE Bakery® Bun + CONTEST

By Gracie Carroll

So far this year, Canada’s 150th birthday celebration has provided ample opportunity to highlight all things Canadian (for good reason, of course) and I’ve been totally loving it. One of the best parts about it, for me, has been getting to create and share my interpretation of some Canadian classics, especially when it comes to recipes.

Some of you may not know this about me, but my mom is Korean and my dad’s background is English and Scottish; he was born in Canada while my mom moved here when she was a tween. Lately I’ve been really excited about incorporating my Korean heritage into my Canadiana-themed foods and recipes (check out my Korean-Canadian Kimchi Caesar Recipe if you haven’t already!), and today I’m sharing this absolutely drool-worthy Korean BBQ Burger with Bulgogi Sauce made on ACE Bakery’s Gourmet Burger Buns  which are perfect for any fellow burger bun aficionados like me.

This burger idea came to fruition when my friends at ACE Bakery asked me to share a Canadian-inspired recipe using ACE Bakery products as part of one of their Canada 150-themed initiatives, including their current contest that gives you the chance to WIN a trip for 2 to Ottawa to Dine in the Sky. That’s right, literally IN. THE. SKY. Take one look at the image on their DiscoverGreat.ca website to see what I mean. The Sky Lounge is an event hosted by Ottawa 2017 and more on what they’ve got planned can be found at Ottawa2017.ca.

If you are daredevil who is down to dine in the sky (this is definitely going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience), all you need to do to enter to win is share your Canadian-inspired recipe using ACE Bakery product too, and submit it through the contest page before June 18th. In case you’re wondering, the answer is YES, I will be dining in the sky alongside you in Ottawa on July 15th too!

Until then, I highly encourage you to try this fun and easy recipe for a delicious asian-fusion twist on the classic Canadian burger. There are a few extra steps included to make all of the key components but trust me, they’re worth it! Keep reading for how to make my Canadian-Style Korean BBQ Burger with Bulgogi Sauce:
