Dear Toronto, all of your #ChocolateDreams have just come true thanks to Dr. Oetker Canada and you don’t want to miss out. Right now on Queen West, you can visit the Cioccolato’s Ristorante Pop-Up that invites you and your friends to stop by and enjoy slices of Dr. Oetker’s Ristorante Cioccolato chocolate pizza (yes, you read that right, I said CHOCOLATE PIZZA) and a glass of bubbly, or two, on them.
I was lucky enough to get to preview the pop-up right before it opened to the public, and was totally amazed by what the Dr. Oetker Canada team has created for this special experience. Not only is their new chocolate pizza freaking delicious (it’s reminiscent of a fresh chocolate croissant but in pizza form), but elements of their pop-up will have you scratching your head and wondering how they created something so cool.
For starters, they have created an entire dining table set up that’s completely covered in chocolate. As you’ll see in the photo above, everything from the walls, chairs, table and even roses are covered in delicious dark chocolate. Unfortunately for us, those pieces are just for your eyes to enjoy, not taste buds.
Even more incredible is the Di Cioccolato Diamond ring they have on display that is a REAL diamond ring made from a Dr. Oetker Ristorante Cioccolato Pizza. How does that work? I wasn’t sure either, but luckily they explained how they got from chocolate pizza to diamond ring in a few simple steps with instructions listed on the wall behind the display. So what exactly is their recipe for a delicious (and totally non edible) diamond? See below:
Dr Oetker Canada’s Di Cioccolato Diamond Recipe:
- Pre-Heat Oven. Pre-heat your High-Pressure High-Temperature (HPHT) over in excess of 2000 degrees Celsius, with a pressure of 60,000 atmospheres. If you don’t have a HPHT oven, alternatively place a Ristorante Cioccolato Pizza 150 kilometres below the Earth’s surface for a few million years. Then enjoy!
- Prepare The Chocolate Pizza. Take a Ristorante Cioccolato Pizza out of the box and place it into the HPHT oven. Easy does it!
- Bake The Chocolate Pizza. Bake the Ristorante Cioccolato Pizza for 120 days or until it becomes a diamond. The longer the bake time, the better the diamond clarity. Yum!
- Remove Diamond. Behold the world’s rarest diamond. Mount as desired. Do not eat.
