Hoppy Easter weekend everyone! Whether you’re enjoying (or enduring) a family-filled weekend, or just hanging out at home in full relaxation mode, this week’s Weekend Musts include easy baked goods inspired by The Blondie Locks, a baked goods pop-up at Sherway Gardens, a brand new rosé for you to indulge in those #RoséAllDay plans and more!
Where To Go:
The Burlington-based “guilt-free” bake shop with a cult following, Kelly’s Bake Shoppe, is heading (closer) to Toronto for a limited time only with a special pop-up at CF Sherway Gardens. But we’re talking super limited, like today (Saturday) is the last day. So if you’ve been craving their drool-worthy gluten-free, nut-free and vegan baked goods, head on over to Etobicoke to get your fix before EOD.
What To Try:
Who says rosé is only to be enjoyed during the summer months? Certainly not us! We were thrilled to be invited to the launch of the new Trius Wines Rosé last week, and we’re even more excited to share that this Ontario rosé is not only crisp, dry and delicious, but affordable at $17.95 a bottle at the LCBO.
Where To Shop:
The One of a Kind Show and Sale is back for for the Spring 2018 show, giving you the chance to shop from over 500 artisans today and tomorrow at the Enercare Centre in Toronto. Some of our top local brands to look out for include: Dillon’s Distillers, Laparelle, Licia Ruby Chocolate Bars, Velvette Organics and more.
What To Buy:
Allbirds has officially launched in Canada, and if you’ve been on the hunt for sustainable footwear, this is the company that you need to know about. Best known for their Wool collection that includes the Wool Runner and Wool Lounger, both shoes are created using ZQ-certified merino wool that’s crafted in one of the world’s finest textile mills out outside of Milan. Recently, Allbirds launched a new line up of shoes made from their most sustainable material to-date–Tree. We’ve tried Allbird shoes ourselves and can attest to the fact that these really are “the world’s most comfortable shoe”. Shop now at Allbirds.ca
