Although Toronto is rather reminiscent of a frozen tundra right now, we like to put a positive spin on the current weather by thinking of it more as a ‘Winter Wonderland’. At the least, the forecast is quite festive and might help you get into a jolly mood while getting some of your holiday shopping done this weekend. Whether your plans are to go our or stay in over the next two days, here are our Weekend Musts:
What To Do:
If you’re obsessed with your pets as much as we are, we won’t be surprised if taking them to snap a pic with Santa is right at the top of your list. This weekend (December 16 and 17, 2017), our friends at PetSmart are offering free photos with Santa for your furry friends! Click HERE to find your nearest location.
What To Shop:
Our favourite Toronto-based on-demand flower delivery service, Tonic Blooms, is popping up this weekend at Sleepover by thisopenspace on Sunday, December 17th from 12-6pm. They’ll be selling their holiday flowers and gifts at a discounted rate, so if you’re in need of holidays or flowers or gifts, don’t miss out!
What To Hear:
If you’re keen to really get into some festive fun, grab a ticket to Tafelmusik’s Sing-Along Messiah taking place on Sunday afternoon at Massey Hall. Tickets are already 80% sold out so don’t sleep on your chance to get into the holiday spirit through incredible music performed by the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir.
What To Read:
We were alerted to a new trend that we’re super into thanks to this article on Refinery29. What is it? Saying goodbye to traditional tree toppers and replacing them with powerful women including Beyonce and Hillary Clinton. The toppers look dope and are actually for sale thanks to the a UK-based not-for-profit organization called Women To Look Up To.
What To Try:
If you’re interested in celebrating Christmas in a rather, er, alternative way (that focuses more on your sexual pleasure), you may want to get your hands on a Crescendo Vibrator that will buzz to the beat of your favourite Christmas tunes. Don’t believe us? Read more about it in this article on Teen Vogue.
What To Make:
If satisfying your sweet tooth and getting creative in this kitchen is a combination you’re into this weekend, don’t miss our recent post featuring a DIY Chocolate Bark recipe made with Chocolats Favors. Click HERE to view the recipe!
