As a new mom, I’ve become sensitive to many things, especially when it comes to my skin care—this includes being scent sensitive, price sensitive, and hyper aware of the ingredients I’m consuming and putting on my skin! The new AVEENO® Oat Masks couldn’t have entered my life at a better time for providing me with a guilt-free, affordable purchase that helps provide some much-needed self-care within a very short amount of time.

What We Think: The first thing I noticed about the AVEENO® Oat Masks is that the consistency reminds me of one of my all-time favourite AVEENO® products: the AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 Second In-Shower Facial. These products are featured in smaller, more compact tubs, and the AVEENO® signature light green lids have been swapped for a dark brown (to signify the Moringa Seed Extract) and a deep red (for the Pomegranate Seed Extract).

While both prebiotic oat face masks are allergy-tested and paraben- and phthalate-free, you’ll want to reach for the Pomegranate Seed Extract option if you’re seeking refreshed and glowing skin and the Moringa Seed Oil if you’re looking for help with removing impurities to feel and look invigorated.

Both masks have a slightly stronger fragrance than I’m used to for AVEENO® (do note that my nose is still sensitive in my postpartum state and I’ve mainly been using AVEENO® Fragrance-Free products) but I do really love that either mask only takes 5 minutes to use.

Don’t fret, you can leave them on for up to 10 minutes if you’ve got the time, but, either way, you don’t have to wait until the mask fully dries before you can rinse it off and carry on with the rest of your day (or night).

So, which out of the two is my favourite? If I had to choose, the AVEENO® Oat Mask with Moringa Seed Extract would be my top pick for its more neutral scent and colour.
