When we think of wine, countries like France, Italy and Argentina are often the first to come to mind, but did you know that South Africa has developed to become one of the world’s top wine regions?

Premium Independent Wineries of South Africa (PIWOSA) is a collective of likeminded, premium, independent wine producers from across the diverse wine regions of South Africa’s Western Cape and their wine makers recently travelled to Toronto to introduce us to their amazing wines.

With a wine history dating back to the 17th century, we have some serious catching up to do and seeing as this weekend is a long weekend, there’s no better time to get yourself to your local LCBO and find out for yourself why wines from South Africa are becoming all-the-rage! We know that Labour Day means that summer is coming to a close but we fully plan on keeping the party going well into September with these 5 great wines from South Africa. See below for what you can find now at the LCBO:
