With COVID-19 obviously messing with our lives and travel plans, we’ve had to get mighty creative when it comes to vacations this summer and fall. Luckily, Ontario is filled with lots of cute and charming boutique hotels and resorts for us to enjoy without having to worry about air travel. If you’re up for a little adventure, why not book in and stay at any of these chic getaways the next time you’re feeling stir-crazy?

Here are 7 chic spots for a great Toronto getaway:

Drake Devonshire

Located in charming PEC, Drake Devonshire is as picturesque as it gets. This beauty of a hotel is right on the water and is open year-round so regardless of if beachy vibes are your thing or you’re into winter activities, this is the spot for you. Just like all of the Drake properties, the hotel is exquisitely decorated and the food is also top-notch as per.

The June Motel

Another super cute place to stay is The June Motel. While you might already be acquainted with the PEC location, its Sauble Beach location is open now and yes, it’s just as pretty as you’d expect. With gorgeous swaths of pink and all the feminine vibes, it’s the perfect spot to go to with all your gal pals in your bubble. If it’s Sauble you’re heading to, don’t miss out on a meal at Heydey’s that’s all about fast-casual cool and old-school bevvies!

Drake Motor Inn

Just down the street from the Drake Devonshire is the Drake Motor Inn and it’s the hotel’s nod to the classic roadside motel but definitely chicer. Expect retro vibes in spacious rooms that make it easy to accommodate families, including your fur-babies, too! What’s also super cool about this spot is that each room comes with a polaroid camera and visitors can purchase some film to capture their own special memories.

The Walper Hotel

Time to venture over to Kitchener and pay a visit to The Walper Hotel. Each room is super charming with warm wood accents and industrial-chic decor. This iconic 1893 landmark is in the heart of one of Kitchener’s oldest neighbourhoods that’s surrounded by local shops, cute cafes, art galleries, and much more. Safe to say that you won’t regret your trip to KW!

Langdon Hall

If it’s luxury you’re after, you can’t go wrong with Langdon Hall. This getaway is one of 14 properties in Canada recognized by Relais & Châteaux for its excellence so you know that everything will be up to par. Located just outside Cambridge, it’s not a far drive but it’ll feel like a world away once you see the sprawling mansion and stunning grounds.

Hotel X Toronto

If you’re not down for a long drive but still want to escape, Hotel X Toronto is your best bet. Situated near the grounds of The Ex, this hotel has EVERYTHING you could ever need even if you’re not exactly headed to a true Toronto getaway. Whether you’re in the mood for some spa time, tennis, a fitness class, or a movie screening, this is the hotel for you.

Harbour House

It doesn’t get more charming than Niagara-On-The-Lake, right? This quaint lakefront property is picture-perfect with stunning views and high-end details. Curl up in your king-size bed with your bae, or soak it up in a giant whirlpool bath. Either way, it’s the perfect romantic getaway!
