7 of The Best Wireless Bras That Don’t Skimp Out On Support

By Jordana Colomby

That summer heat is fast approaching and that means it’s about to get hot and sticky — and ya, that means boob sweat. Sure, it’s nice to be able to wear summer dresses and tank tops but there’s nothing worse than having to wrangle on a tight, underwire bra that’ll keep you fidgeting and readjusting all day. Whether you’re working from home, travelling, or just lounging around the house, you need to check out these 7 wireless bras that’ll keep you comfy without sacrificing support.

Organic Basics

Organic Basics is dedicated to comfort, but they’re also dedicated to sustainability. Based out of Copenhagen, they’re calling out the fashion industry for being a “real dirty bastard” and they’re keeping their own brand clean. They have a bunch of great styles to choose from, but if you want something truly basic, go for the silvertech active sports bra. It’s technically designed to be a workout bra, but with it’s thick support band and sweat wicking nylon, it’s also perfect for lounging on a hot day.

True & Co

True & Co bras are truly life-changing, and not just because they can add 1 inch of lift without a wire. The fabric is unbelievably soft and thin; it feels like you’re not wearing anything at all. This one also comes in handy if you’re packing for a summer trip because it barely takes up any space. True & Co bras also come in a wide range of nudes and basic colours, so it really feels like a second skin.

Mary Young

If you haven’t heard of Mary Young yet, get on it. It’s a Canadian company started in 2015 that’s all about helping women embrace their bodies. Mary Young bridges the gap between everyday underwear and lingerie to make sure women feel sexy all the time. Their designs are beautiful and functional, because why should you have to choose? The Emery Bra is just what you need for hanging out at home. It’s adjustable, extendable, and the mesh cutouts add a sporty vibe. Their pieces are also ethically made, so it’s definitely time to ditch the fast fashion bras and switch to a long-lasting one.

Gap

Yes, everybody knows the Gap sells underwear, but did you know they sell one of the comfiest, most supportive bras I’ve ever owned? Their Breathe Wireless Bra is absolute magic because it’s shaped just like an underwire bra so it has great structure, but there’s no wire. This is the ultimate T-shirt bra. I’d recommend getting a couple because, trust me, you’ll want to wear this everyday. It’s comfortable enough to lounge in at home but it’s also sturdy enough to wear out of the house.

Knix

Knix is another Canadian brand that wants to make sure women feel their best. Their bras are seamless and chafe-free: two musts for summer underwear. There’s a lot to choose from, but I’d go for the Evolution Bra because of its scoop neck and thick straps. You can find out your size on the website: anything from a A to a G. And if you prefer some extra coverage, it’s also available in a padded version.

Anita

Anita Bra review

For all you mamas and mamas-to-be out there, this one’s for you. Anita not only specializes in wireless nursing bras but they also have a selection of wireless maternity bras that our EIC, Gracie Carroll, swears by. The best part about this German-brand (that has been around for 130 years) is that their wireless bras are brilliant for women with bigger boobs. In fact, Gracie and her F-cup bust have referred to them as “MIND BLOWING” (yes, that is a direct quote). So, you probably want to go get yourself one.

Everlane

The Everlane Tank Bra is a basic and a classic. The scoop neck on the front and back make it fit perfectly under almost any tank top or T-shirt, and the thick straps ensure you won’t be pulling them up your shoulders throughout the day. If you spend a lot of time at home and like something a little less structured, this bra is exactly what you need: no padding and no squeezing. They’re also super affordable (only $22) so you can stock up on a few and get ready for the impending summer heat.
