Clad in costume or not, adulting on Halloween often means one thing: drinking. There have been enough candy-filled bowls of punch throughout my lifetime to haunt me for the rest of it, so these days I prefer to opt for more sophisticated cocktails that can be enjoyed beyond the spookiest day of the year.
If you also happen to be a fan of cocktails such as the classic Old Fashioned and Negroni, this recipe for the ‘Gin Reaper‘ by Ontario’s very own Georgian Bay Spirit Co. is for you.
Not only is this recipe quick and easy to make, but its blood red colour is the perfect way to evoke your inner vampire. Bonus: you don’t even really have to dress up as one when you’ve got this in your hand, in case you’re as lazy about costumes as I am.
See below for how to make the Gin Reaper cocktail recipe!
What You Need:
- 1.5 oz Georgian Bay Gin
- 0.5 oz Fino Sherry
- 0.5 oz Tawny Port
- 3 dashes Orange Bitters
- Orange Peel for Garnish
- Whole Cloves for Garnish
What To Do:
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir with ice.
- Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with an orange peel and whole clove
- Serve, and enjoy!
