What I’m Wearing To The Colette Toronto Secret Society Party #NYE2017

By Gracie Carroll

How we’ve already come to the end of 2016 I have no idea (this year seriously felt like it flew by), but, here we are and it’s time to celebrate the arrival of a new year! I’ll admit that for the past couple of years I’ve opted to stay home and host a party for a big group of friends, but this year I’m thrilled to be heading out to the Midnight Secret Society Party at Colette Grand Cafe – one of my favourite spots in the city.

Going to a club to ring in the new year is totally out of the question for me at this point in my life (I have no interest in revising my past as a teenage club promoter!), but attending a sophisticated event in a beautiful restaurant I can most certainly get down with.

Plus, this year the $150 tickets to Colette’s New Year’s Eve party includes an open bar all night, a champagne toast, a fabulous snack menu, and great music of course. If you’re interested in grabbing tickets to attend, click HERE to purchase and be sure to use code GCnye2017 at checkout for 10% off your purchase!

So, what am I wearing this year? Here’s a breakdown of my #ColetteNYE2017 outfit:

I’m a huge huge fan of jumpsuits and there was no way I could resist this tuxedo-style version (especially with its leopard lace bodice) by Reiss that I found while browsing through WINNERS on Bloor Street. To me, a great jumpsuit is totally sexy and this piece felt perfect for the ‘cocktail attire’ that’s required for the party at Colette. Although this piece could totally stand on it’s own, I decided to pair it with two of my favourite new jewellery pieces by Jenny Bird, that I recently purchased through her online shop on the day that she donated all of her profits from online sales to Aleppo.

Some might have chosen to only wear either the over sized Edie Hoops or the Boomerang Collar statement necklace, but I decided to wear both together because…why not? It’s New Year’s Eve after all! So go big or go home, baby.

If I don’t see you at Colette on New Year’s Eve, I hope that you enjoy a wonderful and safe night, no matter where you’re celebrating. If you are in Toronto, please do remember that Corby Spirit and Wine is sponsoring the TTC for the night, and you, your friends and your family are all able to ride for FREE between the hours of 7pm on the night of December 31st 2016 to 7am on the morning of January 1st, 2017.

Happy New Year, Everyone!
